Acne Treatmet- How Acne Scars Form?

by CDMohatta

Acne Treatmet- How Acne Scars Form?
Acne leaves scars like any other injury to the skin. Severe cystic and nodular acne always leaves a scar while in some people mild inflamed acne also leaves scars. The scarring depends upon the individual's response to an injury. As we age, these scars become more visible because of loss of collagen in the skin. Scars look ugly and need to be prevented and treated. Let us find out more about acne scars.
When acne resolves, a dark spot forms on the skin. Most often it is PIH (Post Inflammatory Hyper-pigmentation). This dark color of skin is the result of natural body repair. PIH fades away in about a year. If PIH does not resolve during that period, you may have an acne scar that will need treatment.
Raised acne scars-
Acne scars can be either depressed or raised. Raised acne scars are formed in those people who develop keloids. Keloid is a growth of tissues at the site of injury. It is not easy to remove keloids by surgery. That may result into more new keloids. Keloids are treated differently.
Depressed acne scars-
Luckily the majority gets depressed acne scars. The depressed acne scars form as a result of loss of tissue at the acne site. The tissue is lost when the acne spreads inside the skin. Some collagen is lost in this process. After acne heals, the depression remains and new skin grows over the depression. That is a depressed acne scar.
These depressed acne scars may be classified into - ice pick, boxcar or rolling scars. Such acne scars do not fade away with time. Depressed acne scars are removed with surgical and physical procedures such as dermabrasion, chemical peeling, microdermabrasion, surgery, soft tissue filling, laser, etc. Some topical formulations are also available that reduce the intensity of acne scar and lighten it.

How to Get Rid of your Body Acne

by Ryan Pham

Acne has no boundaries. Although, the face is the most affected area, the acne can occur in any part of the body. The back, chest, neck, buttocks and shoulders are not uncommon sites for acne. That's why sometimes they are called as 'bacne' i.e. acne occurred on the back!
Just like acne on the face, body acne is also troublesome condition. This gives bad look and may prevent you wearing low-cut and backless shirts and tank tops. This turns embarrassing when you are wiling to put-on the swim suit!
Acne is caused by the sebaceous gland secretion. These glands lie just under the skin. The secretion is known as sebum and is secreted to keep skin moist enough. Sebum is good until it is secreted in normal quantity and doesn't get block to the passages that open up on the outer skin. Once, the pathway choke-up with one or the other reason, the sebum starts getting collected under the skin. Top of that, this place invites bacteria to make their seat. This entire procedure results into the inflammation and elevation of the skin as a spot popularly known as acne.
Body acne can appear in the form of blackheads, white heads, pustules, cysts or pimples. The first and foremost tip to get rid of body acne is stopping wearing tight cloths. This is because the acne has tendency to ooze some secretion which could be encouraged by wearing tight cloths. Friction from these clothing will irritate body acne.
One should wash the acne-affected area with anti-bacterial soap. Keep in mind that soap with harmful chemicals will worsen the case. Hence, it is advisable to go for herbal soap having disinfecting property. Some chemicals are proven for anti-acne treatment like you can go for 5% - 10% benzoyl peroxide cream to dry out the pimples. You can also try to accutane therapy, which works with great deal. Another precaution is to be taken that you should never squeeze the acne as that may spread to other areas of the body. If you want to take out the material which is inside the pimple, take a cotton piece and gently press on it draining material in the cotton and making sure that it is not getting spread anywhere else.
Regarding the diet, one can go for roughage with no limits. Drink plenty of water to flush out the bodily waste through the urination and sweating. Non-vegetarian diet, alcohol, smoking and stress do contribute producing the body acne. Herbal science believe that eating the strong smelled vegetables like garlic, ginger, onions etc. give rise to sweat production and hence there may be chances of getting body acne.
Many of the doctors from different branches of the medical sciences like Ayurveda, Naturopathy and Homoeopathy believe that body acne could be developed by constipation. To get rid of the body acne, one should never remain constipated. Take enough fiber in the diet by means of green leafy vegetables etc. You can also go for some mild laxative (preferably herbal) once in a week on regular basis. This will tone up your intestines and will prevent constipation therefore.

Acne Skin Solutions Offering Hope

by Sarah Rhodes

Vaginal candidiasis is not considered a sexually transmitted disease. However, 12% to 15% of men will develop symptoms such as itching and penile rash following sexual contact with an infected partner.
Avoid keeping your vagina wet for a long peroid of time and do not douche vagina with vinegar after menstrual periods or sexual intercourse as it may remove the healthy bacteria in the vagina.
Twenty symptoms of Candidiasis are: 1. Headaches 2. Cystitis (infected bladder) 3. Mood swings 4. Vaginitis (inflammation of vagina or thrush) 5. Fungal infections (e.g. athletes foot) 6. Bad breath 7. Extensive food allergies 8. Anal itching 9. Feeling ill after eating yeast or sugary foods 10. Nasal itch or congestion 11. Craving for sugary things 12. Abdominal distension or bloating 13. Diarrhoea, constipation or both 14. Depression 15. Fatigue 16. Poor memory 17. Lack of sexual desire 18. Craving for bread or alcohol 19. Menstrual cramp or pain 20. Muscle aches.
Once in the blood, Candida can cause symptoms such as migraine headaches, irritable bowel, Crohns disease, eczema, hyperactivity, weight gain, chemical and inhalant allergies and rheumatoid arthritis. Candida short-circuits the bodys defenses at its deepest levels. Thats why attempts to rid the body of any of candidas symptoms without addressing the candida itself, usually prove futile, and why doctors have a relatively poor track record treating many of these conditions.
You can buy yeast infection treatments over the counter (OTC) in drugstores without a prescription from the doctor. Some examples of common treatments are: Miconazole, Tioconazole, Butoconazole and Clotrimazole. Unfortunately, these treatments only treat the symptoms and should not be considered cures. These treatments can also be dangerous to use and most women develop a tolerance to them after extended use. The only way to cure yeast infections is to treat the root cause through natural means.
Candida treatments are most common among women, but millions of men every year seek candida treatments for their conditions. Candida is often the root cause of a host of health problems that cause many number of misdiagnosed men and women to seek diabetes treatments, depression treatments, anxiety treatments, even cellulite treatments. However, these are often only symptoms of a much larger, underlying issue. Yeast is literally a beast that slowly destroys the body masquerading as various diseases. About 80% of the American population has a yeast problem that they are unaware of. A candida treatment could save a lot of unnecessary treatments by simply cutting out the middleman and going directly to the source of the problem yeast infection.
An untreated yeast infection will allow for the symptomatic pains of this infection to continue and possibly worsen in their severity. However, it is important to note that many untreated yeast infections progress normally and the body wonderfully clears up the condition on its own. This is generally accomplished during the menstrual cycle. When menstruating the flow of blood raises the pH level within the vagina. This action minimizes the activity of the yeast cells because of their inability to grow in that pH environment.

Acne Treatment: Each Type Of Acne Needs Different Treatment!

by Joey River

Each of us wishes to have a smooth and clear skin. Pimples and Acne destroy this dream of smooth and clear skin. However, we start searching of remedies once we think things have gone out of hand.
Acne formation can take place on any part of the body, but the most affected parts are chest, back and unfortunately face. You should start treating acne consciously instead of starting use of over the counter products, of whose chemical composition you have no knowledge about. This is reason you should gain all those things you require to know about acne before you start treating it.
Acne should be treated as a health problem and not merely a skin problem. Acne appears in teenagers and adults as well. There are different types of acne and so there are equally different types of acne treatments.
Each one of us has a different condition; some people might have mild and moderate acne. Mild acne can also be referred to as non-inflammatory acne. This type of acne includes formation of white heads and black heads on skin, mild acne can be easily treated and removed from your daily life. For acne treatment of mild acne, all you require doing is washing your face with warm water and soap at least twice a day. Using exfoliating soap would be the best. Acne treatment for you would be using cleansers to cleanse your skin so that the pores do not get blocked and skin can breathe easy.
Moderate acne is the one which covers half of your face. Acne treatment for moderate acne can be done at home; however, it is also advisable that you take suggestions of the dermatologist so that he can stop the moderate acne changing to severe acne. Acne treatment can be a combination of treatments for moderate acne. At this stage you can prevent acne becoming severe inflammatory acne.
The doctor might advice you acne treatment in two ways, by making sure that your skin is clean and there are no blocked pores. This acne treatment involves extraction of the blockages and such therapies which will dry out or remove the oils that block the pores.
Acne treatment also might include taking some prescription drugs so that the chances of the acne recurring or becoming a severe type of acne diminish.
Severe acne or inflammatory acne means pimples are larger in size and are filled with pus. These can leave scars and are also painful in some cases. Severe acne can leave permanent scars on the skin. Therefore, it is better that you do not allow your acne to reach this level.
Acne treatment for severe acne is long and complicated. Here the dermatologist does not have to only clean you face, you also requires mending it. He might also need you to go through surgery if you want to get rid of acne scars. Initially, acne treatment for severe acne might comprise of taking some oral medicines and cleansing of skin, surgery might come in quite later when acne has been stopped totally and all that is required to be done is mending the skin.
So you can now classify acne if you have any, so that you can take action against it as soon as possible.
